About One More Story
I made One More Story because I was trying to find something that would work with bedtime and not against it.

Hello, I am Haydan
I am a dad in Adelaide, an author, a singing teacher and a professional performer. I have toured in Possum Magic, performed Hairy Maclary at the Sydney Opera House and appeared as Mikki in Mikki vs the World on ABC TV.
At home, I started playing guitar near bedtime while preparing for an audition. It turned into a small lullaby moment with my eldest. Stories and live music together were the bit that worked for us.
So that became the show.

The whole idea
The screen was never the problem in our house. It is what is on it, and what time it is on.
The episodes use a familiar welcome, slower editing, a story read by a real person and one song played live on guitar. There are no flashing transitions and nothing shouts for the next click.
Low stimulation is not our marketing line. It is the design brief.

And this is Gerry
Gerry sits beside me for every story. He notices what another character needs, and he does not rush the answer.
The books follow Gerry and his friends through small moments about sharing, imagination, patience, listening and finding a way forward.
The line underneath all five books is simple. See others.
Meet the story world

Milo joins Gerry in the first story about sharing.

Roary is there when rain changes the plan.

Toby takes his time at the waterhole.

Joey listens for the sounds that lead home.
Book 5
Edna goes further than she has before, with Gerry nearby while she finds another way.
Watch, read, listen or meet us live
The episodes, books, audio and live shows all come back to the same characters and songs. A child can meet Gerry on screen, hear the story again, hold the book and see Mr H perform it in the room.
